Flight simulator executable will hang in suspended state

This happens when you quit flight simulator using the ALT+F4 keyboard shortcut or the X in the top right hand corner (windowed mode only).

The resolution to this is to shut down the program in a graceful state. This means using the option to quit out of the sim in the bottom left corner of the main menu.

If you have not done this properly, and the sim wont restart - you will need to terminate the executable process from within the task manager.
